I. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Joomla 3.9.x
- TZ Portfolio Plus 2.3.5 +
II. HOW TO INSTALL
- Go to administrator > Components > TZ Portfolio Plus > Addons
- Click to Install > Navigate Password Add-on > Click "Install Now" Button
- Back to Addons Manager > Click "Content - Password" and configure options
III. HOW TO CONFIGURE THE ADD-ON (GLOBAL CONFIGURATION)
- After having done installation, the add-on surely appears in Add-ons Manager. Click on "content - Password"
- Protection Message: Provide an alert message to inform visitors about the private content which requires a password
- Protect Items: select content properties that you want to protect including: Created Date, Published Date, Modified Date, Hits, Tags, Author, Full-Text, Introtext, Category, Parent Category
- Protect Add-ons: Select add-ons that you want to protect
IV. SET PASSWORD IN A DETAIL ARTICLE
- Back to Articles, add new or open your current articles
- On the right side, you'll see "Password Options" including "Protection Password" and "Protection Message"
- Protection Password: provide the article with a password including letters, digits, or other symbols
- Protection Message: the plain text warns visitors about private content protected
V. ACCESS PERMISSION IN ARTICLE & CATEGORY
- In each article and category, you can control user's access to read a specific article or articles in a category without requiring password
VI. CONFIGURE LAYOUT BUILDER
You're supposed to go to your TZ Portfolio+ layout to create a place where the password add-on can display properly
- Go to Layouts > your layout > add new row > Click to choose the row type "Password"
