Hello:

I'm needing an ability to keep the link to the articles hidden on some articles and not others, so I was thinking what if when putting "#none" in the Project Link spot, it disables the link and makes it just default to opening in light box?

How can I acheive this?

Hi, do you mean you want to disable the article link for some on the portfolio view? (some are disabled, some are still enabled)?
In each article, you can see the option "Linked titles" on Article View Option in Category listing > Choose No
